Event Advertisment, Illustration, Brand Identity

I had the pleasure of collaborating through freelance with Junkyard Market Norwich to create the event branding identity for their upcoming craft beer festival, Crafty One. The brief was to celebrate the hands-on approach and labour-intensive processes involved in creating craft beer, while also capturing the excitement of a festival where attendees can taste and learn about a variety of unique brews.

My design solution focused on highlighting the artisanal nature of craft beer production, drawing inspiration from the vintage machinery and manual techniques used in small-batch brewing. To create a visually striking identity, I selected a bold, eye-catching colour palette paired with grainy textures that reinforced the "crafted" aesthetic. Custom illustrations were developed and transformed into a versatile brand pattern, which could be applied across banners, beer cups, and other event materials. The logo also nodded on this idea of vintage machienary by utilisng the depiction of pipes into a 'C'. A main deliverable from this brief was to create a series of online social media advertisment. To achieve this, I stretched my brand elements and illustrative brand pattern into instagram story highlights, and social media posts showing how adabtable this brand identity can be.

To reflect the playful spirit of the event, I adopted a friendly, cheeky tone of voice, weaving in language that celebrated the craftsmanship behind each brew. This approach helped create a welcoming and engaging atmosphere, perfectly aligned with the heart of the Crafty One experience.
